How much does a wedding DJ cost in the Basque Country?
The honest answer: anywhere from a few hundred to several tens of thousands of euros, depending on the artist you choose. Between a solid all-round DJ and a name who plays festivals, the gap is huge, and that's normal. Here are the three main categories you'll find in the Basque Country, what they include, and what moves the price.
The three price levels at a glance
experienced, versatile, for every crowdfrom €150 an hour
a name, a following in the Basque Country€750 to €3,000 per booking
plays clubs and festivals abroad€5,000 to €50,000 depending on the profile
These prices generally include staging, equipment and logistics: you're not paying for a "bare" DJ who is missing half of the set-up.
The all-round DJ: from €150 an hour
It's what most weddings choose, and a very good choice when the DJ is genuinely good: they know how to read a room, get three generations dancing and move from the cocktail hour to the dancefloor without a lull. For a 5-hour evening of dancing, that means from €750.
Be wary of prices that look too good to be true: at this level, the difference comes down to experience, music selection and sound quality. That's exactly what we check before suggesting a profile to you. See our DJ & artist booking.
The well-known local artist: €750 to €3,000
Here, you're no longer just booking a service, but a name: a DJ or an artist with a distinct musical identity and a following in the Basque Country. Your guests may already know them. It's the right level if you have a specific sound in mind (house, disco, afro, rock, a niche selection…) and want the evening to reflect it.
The price varies with how well known the artist is, the length of the set and the season.
The international artist: €5,000 to €50,000
The Basque Country is home to artists who play in clubs and at festivals abroad. We're connected to several of them. For a wedding or an exceptional event, it's possible to bring them in, with a budget to match the profile: €5,000 to €50,000.
At this level, the artist almost always has a rider: a document listing everything they need for their visit and for the performance to run smoothly (specific technical equipment, schedule, dressing room, transport, accommodation, catering…). These items are part of the overall budget; we build them into the quote and take care of meeting them.
What makes the price vary
- Duration: an evening set only, or a presence from the cocktail hour to the end of the night.
- The date: Saturdays in peak wedding season go fast, and the most sought-after artists charge more for them.
- The venue: access for the equipment, indoors or outdoors, sound restrictions (limiter, finishing times), distance.
- Extra formats: a live musician at the cocktail hour (saxophone, vocals, percussion), several spaces to equip with sound, more ambitious lighting. See sound & lighting.
- Artistic direction: building a musical thread from the ceremony to the end of the night. See artistic direction.
How we build your quote
We start from your event, not from a price list: number of guests, venue, schedule for the day, musical style and budget. We then suggest one or more suitable profiles, with clips to listen to, and a quote that details what's included. No unpleasant surprises on the day.
